On Wednesday April 25, 2018, Asharqia Chamber started its Business Council in Al-Khafji Governorate for the 18th Session of the Board of Directors of the Chamber at the first meeting during which the Chairman and Vice Chairman were elected.
During the meeting that was held at the headquarter of the chamber of the province, Hussein bin Ali al-Enezi was chosen as a president of the council after he won 14 votes, while Mohammed bin Suleiman al-Balawi received 9 vote. Also, the Council member Mohammed bin Fawaz al-Subaie won the post of vice president by acclamation.
In a welcoming speech, a board member of Asharqia Chamber, Sa'doon bin Khaled Al-Khalidi, stressed the keenness of the Chamber to support the business councils in all branches, including the branch of Khafji province. He noted the economic value represented by Al-Khafji governorate, as its strategic location on the Gulf and the international road is linking the GCC countries on many promising and renewable investment opportunities.
